Time Management Tips To Help You Achieve Your Goals!
Time management tips will help you utilize every bit of your available time toward effectively managing your goals! Goal setting and time management work hand-in-hand because you use your free time to get your goals done each day. The more free time you have, the faster you can get your goals done.
Most people don't effectively utilize their time throughout the day. If you are not utilizing all of your time toward achieving your goals, you are slowing yourself down considerably. Organized time helps you effectively execute your goals so you can get more goals done in the same amount of time.
If you sleep 6 hours a day and work a job 8 hours a day, that leaves you with 10 hours to play with in your day to apply toward your time management tips. If you are single, those hours are all yours to dedicate toward building wealth. If you are married, you must time share between your spouse and your wealth building goals.
No matter how much time you have in your day, you must dedicate at least 30 minutes to exercise (running, walking, biking, weight training...), 1 to 2 hours for meals, 1 hour or prep time (getting dressed, doing hair...), and 1 hour to yourself (free time). Let's see. That brings you down to about 5 1/2 hours a day to dedicate to your goal setting and achieving.
Time is one of those things that can get messed up in an instant. Outside influences continuously enter your time box, significantly reducing the amount of productive time you have in your day. All it takes is one simple phone call from a friend or family and you just lost 2 hours of production time that you may have previously planned for your wealth building work.
So, what are you going to do with the 5 1/2 hours each day? This is the million dollar question when considering goal setting and time management and I will hopefully answer it with my time management tips. The way you answer this important question will either lead you to success or into a rut. Choosing the wrong things to do with your time are why most people fail to reach their ultimate goals in life.
So, what is the right answer and the wrong answer to the above question? Well, think about it; if you never use your spare time to achieve your goals, you will never go anywhere other than where you are right now.
If you choose to go out to the bar, watch television, go to the movies, or any other unproductive thing during those 5 1/2 hours, you are setting yourself seriously behind in achieving your goals. Unless, of course, you get your To Do items done for the day. These To Do items come from your short term goals.
One of my time management tips that should help the most is if you get your goals done ahead of schedule for the day, then your evening is free to do as you please. These are great words to live by because it motivates you to get things done so you can have a break. You don't get the things done on time, you don't get a break.
